Legends FC Alum Ashley Hatch Drafted 2nd Overall for NWSL

Hatch has achieved incredible success since her years of development with Legends FC – leading the women’s team at Brigham Young University and securing a spot on the U.S. Women’s National Team.

On January 12, 2017, Ashley Hatch, Legends FC alumni, reached yet another incredible milestone in her soccer career achieving a second-round berth on the National Women’s Team.  Hatch played with Legends FC under the coaching leadership of Andy Plascencia. While playing with Legends FC, Hatch set records for all-time career goals, served as team captain of the high school varsity team for two years, and in 2009, was recognized as the high school cross country MVP.

“Ashley was a remarkable player and person – with incredible gifts. I was so pleased to work with her talent over the years I had the chance to coach her. I am so proud to see what she has achieved in her athletic career and who she is as a person,” said Coach Plascencia.

Hatch joins a growing list of Legends FC players who have gone on to achieve incredible collegiate and professional careers. “I am so proud of Ashley for all that she has achieved on the field and was pleased to have had her as part of our program during her formative athletic years. The mission of our program is to enable the kind of success Hatch has seen. We strive as a Club to provide the best coaching and skills development in the nation where young aspiring and elite level athletes can fully realize their athletic potential,” said Josh Hodges, Legends FC Executive Director.
