Former Legends FC Player Hannah Seabert Accepts a Spot in the National Women’s Soccer League

The Orlando Pride has announced the signing of former Legends FC athlete Hannah Seabert to their team for the 2017 season as a goal keeper. Seabert spent six years training with Legends FC before accepting a spot as the leading keeper for Pepperdine. Her stellar career at Pepperdine finished this past fall with distinction, being recognized as West Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and All-WCC first team honors.

“I had the pleasure of coaching Hannah for six years at Legends and was inspired by her athletic ability, dedication and love of the game. Hannah led our team to three National Championship appearances and always was a key part of the team, both on and off the field. She will be a wonderful role model for young players as she moves to the professional level,” said Josh Hodges, Executive Director of Legends.

The Orlando Pride is a new National Women’s Soccer League program, founded in 2016. Seabert will be a key asset to the team as they build their program. During her college career she racked up an astounding 332 saves in 82 games.  Seabert also has the distinction of 28 career solo shutouts and an average of 4.03 saves per game.

Former teammate Michelle Maemone recently told the Pepperdine University Graphic newspaper; “Without (Seabert) in net, we would never have accomplished what we had this past year. Hannah has been an inspiration to so many, and a role model for not just how she conducts herself on the field, but off the field as well.”
